Oh, for the love of science -- we're cranking up the science videos again! "Why so soon?", you may ask? If you were here last time, you KNOW why -- MAJOR FUN!

Bring your own videos to see, or stage a raid on the library, Netflix, Blockbuster, Facets Multimedia or Stephen Hawking's personal collection for all we care! (Come anyway if you don't have any videos -- we will have enough -- and we're also enjoying all of our takes on the material, and not just the materials itself.)

Also bring some cash for food we will order in, and any drinks or munchies you want. Ronnie has been known to hostess us from her stores, but add to the bounty and BYO -- and don't be afraid to bring something exotic! <no uncaged reptiles, please -- they frolic about and tend to jam up the video player>

We do a great job of finding the crowd-pleasers to try out from the communal video stack. And we give every chosen video the twenty-minute test -- 20 minutes into the show, we vote up or down to let it keep running. We don't want you being bored, now. And yes, we do kabosh one now and then. <And are a happier bunch FOR it, might we add!>

The spontaneous dialogue that runs before, during and after the shows is great and -- since it is coming out of our mouths -- is WAY better than the robot-supplied commentaries of Mystery Science Theater 3000. Come to think of it, bring any episodes of THAT you have, too!

Look at our last announcement for ideas of programs to bring:
http://science.meetup...

But don't worry about some kind of perfect "fit" for us -- just bring any videos you have that are science-related, science-themed or Christian Science. Well, OK, not Christian Science, but if you have a delicate constitution, you might want to get in some quality Reading Room time before the meeting because our SNACKS are DEFINITELY not "Science Diet"!

You don't need to tell us ahead of time what you are bringing unless you are bursting to do so. So if you have access to anything that could be even loosely accused of being a "science" video -- bring it.

We didn't watch any YouTube, YourDailyMedia or TED Talks clips last time but that doesn't mean we won't, so bring us links, too!

There's plenty of street parking at Ronnie's but look at the signs.

Grace us with your appearance at our Saturday night show-and-talk-fest and it's sure thing that you'll soon be saying, "Yippee! These are my kind of people! This is my kind of fun!"

That's what WE all said last time. You don't want US to have all the fun, do you?

We didn't think so. So we'll see you there! To enjoy a quality get-together!

And do NOT go look at the picture Ronnie posted on the last meeting page. Repeat: do NOT!
