This group is for people interested in science, technology, and science fiction.
Relevant topics can include:
A) any aspect of science or technology (such as natural sciences; social sciences; science & society; naturalistic philosophy; natural history; social evolution; anthropology; geology; cultural geography; robotics; astronomy; history; sociology; technology and industry; evolutionary economics; medical technology; environmental science and ecology; psychology; urban planning; evolution; economic history; history of science and technology; industrial development; space exploration; economics of science, technology, and industry; regional science; economic development; industrial history; biology; paleontology; archaeology; etc.);
B) any aspect of science fiction (such as science fiction movies, books, social science fiction, philosophical science fiction, science fiction art);
C) other relations between science and art (such as nature photography, kinetic art, architecture, or science illustration).
We can also go as a group to events related to science, technology, social sciences, or science fiction, such as movies, museums, conventions, etc.
Some members also participate in the Arts & Society Meetup Group (after all, science fiction, science illustration, nature photography, and architecture are all forms of art; and social sciences are relevant to science and to society) - that group meets the first Sunday of each month at the same location, and has an Arts Events email list, to let each other know about events (including science fiction events), and to see who would like to go as a group. http://art.meetup.com/515
