Sci-Fi Saturday is this Saturday, August 15, 10 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., at the York Emporium bookstore, 343 W. Market St, in York. 846-2866

There will be authors, an artist, a dramatic reading, a book launch, and even a NASA scientist who was involved in the moon misssions, speaking about recent research on SETI (search for extraterrestrial intelligence), among other things on Sci-Fi Saturday. (Jim Lewin, our genial host for our Meetup group, promised NASA there would be a large audience for that talk, so if you're planning to go to Sci-Fi Saturday, it would be good if you get there by 1:00.)

The bookstore has also recently arranged a new science fiction section.
